Wiesbaden/Edipsos, October 22, 2014 | The 5-star Thermae Sylla Hotel on the Greek island of Evia has been awarded the EuropeSpa hotel spa certificate. It is the first Greek hotel to receive the EuropeSpa quality certificate of the European Spas Association (ESPA).
The Thermae Sylla Hotel is a place where excellent spa facilities and medical wellness treatments meet world-class service. Housed in a neoclassical building dating back to the year 1897 and completely renovated, Thermae Sylla disposes of its own thermal water spring, carrying with it traces of radon – a powerful therapeutic mineral with strong healing properties. Therefore, available treatments include not only wellness but also medical cures. The spa and wellness areas of the hotel offer a wide range of activities, such as massages, sauna, gym, indoor and outdoor pools, beauty treatments, aromatherapy, balneotherapy and mud therapy – all of them with the goal of relaxation, body firming, recovery and stress relief of the guests. The hotel has 108 luxuriously furnished rooms with park or sea view, including 7 suites and one presidential suite. In the hotel restaurants guests can enjoy a variety of dishes with fresh, natural and regional ingredients.
The award ceremony of the certificate took place in Edipsos where the ESPA representative, Reinhard Petry, presented the EuropeSpa hotel spa certificate to managing director, Ioannis Anastasopoulos. CEO of EuropeSpa, Kurt von Storch, admired the unique qualities of the hotel, saying that “what makes Thermae Sylla so truly special is its thermal water because it enables the hotel to not only perform high-quality wellness and beauty treatments but also medical treatments”.
